RAPID NAME: Geek Wave (Lower French Kiss Rapid)
RAPID RATING: Class III
RIVER SECTION: Upper Gauley
The Geek Wave is located at the top of this rapid and is a favorite for kayak surfing. There is great return eddy service back to the hole making possible hours of fun. The bottom of the rapid is rather shallow. If you’re in a raft, be sure to avoid the slot on the bottom right that pushes into a pinning rock.
